Shiner Beer has been around since 1909 and I was formally introduced to the Central Texas elixer in college while attending Southwest Texas State University. I had never visited the brewery, because quite frankly, Nephews on the San Marcos square had plenty. It wasn’t until years later, the wife and I took a trip to the ‘Ol Spoetzl Brewery and that’s where the idea for the bag came about. I’m always looking at bags, wallets, anything leather, for inspiration. During the tour I noticed a young lady wearing a very expensive, Italian made bag, and I thought to myself, I can make that. This came to me right as the tour guide was explaining to us what a great, ingenious, hard working man Kosmos Spoetzl was. Indeed he was. Thanks for the inspiration. Prost!
